About this ebook

Some people say it’s hard to tell between love or lust. But sometimes, it’s not hard to tell at all....

Twelve years is a lifetime when it comes to age and love. And if the man is your father’s best friend... Well, let’s just say unrequited feelings tend to be awkward. But Laney knows what she wants. Who she wants., and she’s a firm believer that sometimes a woman just has to go for broke and take a chance....

Rand Mitchell has done everything he can to avoid Laney Wyatt due to his awareness of her and, in a small town, that’s not easy, especially when his 911 call results in Laney appearing as his EMT. But it’s then, with her blushes and smiles and follow-up visits, that he wonders if maybe he’s not the only one fighting his feelings?

When tragedy strikes Laney and her family, Rand eagerly steps up to help. But all too soon, help becomes more. With their age difference, her father, and small-town gossip stacked against them—can what they feel really be love?

Is it? Your either stuck in a cross between wondering what your waiting for? It would be nice to know but i guess the answers aren't there when you cannot get them? That's why food is the answer not romance. Women pig out on ice cream because it's much more obtainable then a man.

I like the storyline eventhough it's short. It's just the ending that is too abrupt.

Kay Lyons always wanted to be a writer, ever since the age of seven or eight when she copied the pictures out of a Charlie Brown book and rewrote the story because she didn’t like the plot. Through the years her stories have changed but one characteristic stayed true— they were all romances. Each and every one of her manuscripts included a love story.

Published in 2005 with Harlequin Enterprises, Kay’s first release was a national bestseller. Kay has also been a HOLT Medallion, Book Buyers Best and RITA Award nominee. Look for her most recent novels with Kindred Spirits Publishing.
